“Hayabusa” is the Japanese word for “peregrine falcon.” For those who don’t know, peregrine falcons are just about the baddest birds on the planet. They hunt other bird from way above, spotting their prey in mid-flight. When they set their sights on some unsuspecting dove, they go into a steep dive, during which they can hit speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour (that’s not a typo, look it up!), and they smash into their prey mid-air, killing and defeathering the victim in one fell swoop. That’s pretty much the definition of badass. You can be almost as badass as a peregrine falcon when you get into some Hayabusa fight gear and apparel! Hayabusa is committed to bringing you the best possible fight gear, allowing you to fulfill your potential as a potential champion, whether at the gym or in the cage. Hayabusa’s designs reflect the ancient Japanese code of Bushido; they view their fight gear as the weapons and armor of the modern day Samurai, and their careful attention to detail makes this plainly visible. One look at their Japanese-inspired designs and you know you’re strapping into some serious gear. The clean, bare-leather look of their Kanpeki series offers a no-compromise, take-no-prisoners alternative to more flashy styles, while their Pro-Training series pads are some of the lightest we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with… seriously, the Pro-Training Thai pads are AWESOME pieces. We know of at least one former UFC champ who wouldn’t hit pads without his trusty Hayabusa 16oz gloves. Hayabusa makes absolutely beautiful, functional equipment and apparel for mixed martial arts, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and submission grappling, you really can’t go wrong with any of their stuff. Check out MMA Industry’s huge selection of Hayabusa gear, it’s time to get serious about your training!
